Here’s a question: Why does Jennifer Aniston keep getting high-profile film gigs when her films (with very few exceptions, like Marley & Me) are stinkers? —Freddie B., via…
Jennifer Aniston may have had a rough morning after her appearance on Live With Regis and Kelly, but she made up for it by having a comforting Italian lunch with friends in NYC.

During a busy day of press promotions for her upcoming film, The Switch, Jen took a break to have lunch at Trattaori Dell’Arte on Thursday in NYC.
An eyewitness tells OK! that Jen was “with a group of friends at a big table” and enjoyed a nice assortment of “pizza, pastas, salads and antipastos.”

It’s official! Jennifer Aniston is going to “Cougar Town”!
The actress is reuniting with her former “Friends” costar Courteney Cox on the small screen for the season two premiere of the ABC show. Jennifer will play Jules’ (Cox) therapist, Bonnie, who gets too involved in her client’s life.
This will be the first time the real life friends have worked together since “Dirt,” on which they played editors of rival magazines. “Cougar Town” premieres Wednesday, September 22 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.
She has been non-stop promoting “The Switch” as of late, and hopefully Jennifer Aniston can catch a break as the highly-anticipated film hits theatres today (Friday, August 20).
The dramedy flick, which also stars Jason Bateman, surrounds Aniston’s unmarried 40-year old character getting pregnant using a turkey baster. Seven years later, she reunites with Bateman’s character who finally confesses to switching out the sperm sample.
The “Marley and Me” actress made an appearance on “The Daily Show” last night to sit down for a chat with host Jon Stewart.
Reminiscing back to the mid-90s, Stewart said, “You were adorable! I asked you out, we went out! To an Italian restaurant” in Manhattan’s East Village, he said. “And it was lovely”
He then joked sheepishly: “You brought so many of your friends. I remember thinking ‘Wow, she’s so excited to be on a date with me that she wants me to get to know her posse.’”
Here is something I can’t figure out: Why is Jennifer Aniston’s movie career not at least proportionally as huge as her tabloid allure? I mean this as a compliment. While I’m long, long, long over hearing about her breakup with Brad Pitt and subsequent lack of a love that satisfies the gossip-mongering masses, I never
Continuing to sit as the most watched film in the States, “The Expendables” ended up retaining the top spot at the box office for the second straight week.
Making for a low take weekend, the Sylvester Stallone spearheaded action flick brought in $17 million while holding off the newly-released parody film titled “Vampires Suck” ($13.2 million).
Sylvester Stallone’s action flick took in $17 million, while Vampires Suck debuted with a $13.2 million box office.
Also in its second week of release, Julia Roberts’ “Eat Pray Love” did well to place in third ($12.2 million) while Bow Wow’s “Lottery Ticket” came in fourth ($11.2 million).
Coming as a surprise to some, Jennifer Aniston’s new movie “The Switch” finished up at the seventh slot with $9 million – which placed it behind both “The Other Guys” and “Piranha 3D”.

Jennifer Aniston will guest star alongside BFF Courteney Cox on the season two premiere of Cougar Town, JustJared.com can confirm.
“She’s going to play Courteney’s shrink named Bonnie,” exec producer Bill Lawrence tells EW. “Kind of a get-too-involved-in-her-life-type of therapist. Those guys are so close in real life they kind of do that for each other anyway. Bonnie has the life [Courteney's character] Jules’ wishes she has.”
Lawrence adds, “It starts and ends with Courteney and Jennifer being really great friends and excited to work together again—especially doing comedy together. Every day that those two talk they have more ideas about [the role]. It’s definitely something they’re both involved in creatively.”
In 2007, Jen guest-starred on Courteney’s then-show Dirt as a rival tabloid editor.
Jen’s Cougar Town episode will air on Wednesday (Sept. 22) @ 9:30PM ET on ABC. Her latest comedy, The Switch, is in theaters now. This past weekend, It opened at #8 at the box office.
